Welcome To Troop 108!

Come join the fun and become a part of the Troop 108 family! If you are a boy, between the ages of 11 and 17, who likes meeting new friends, camping, hiking, and learning new skills while having fun, we invite you to check out our troop!  

Troop 108 is chartered by Our Lady of the Valley (OLV) Church in Wayne, NJ.  However, we are a non-denominational organization, therefore you do not have to be a member of OLV to join.  Please feel free to "Contact Us" with any questions you may have.

 If you are interested in participating in an Orienteering Course this coming Sunday in Kinnelon, we will take a headcount at Tuesday night's meeting.  It is in Kinnelon which is about a 20 minute ride and the course should take about an hour.  We will see who is interested and make more definitive plans at that point.

In the summer of 2015, Troop 108 sent two crews to the Florida Sea Base.  This past summer, 7 Scouts and 2 Leaders went backpacking in New Mexico at the Philmont Scout Ranch.  Next summer, in July 2017, we’ve got a crew heading to Northern Tier to spend a week canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  So, that begs the question, where are we going to go in 2018?

Resica Falls Scout Reservation is located in the Pocono Mountains, Pa.  They offer over 70 merit badges as well as a canoe/camping trek down the Delaware River, a backpacking/camping trek for a week as well as several other adventurous options.  More information can be found at  and

Parent Volunteer Positions Available!!!!!

Troop 108 will be seeking committee members for several open positions as well as looking for volunteers who will be able to assist the committee.

The Boy Scout Troop Committee is responsible for conducting the business of the troop, setting policy, and helping the Scoutmaster and Scouts with the outdoor program and other planned activities. The committee also has the responsibility to provide adults for boards of review. This is an important responsibility and is one area where help is always needed and appreciated. The committee consists of parent volunteers who fulfill various roles on the committee.
